I am not sure if this blog will turn political as most of them are. But first, I would like to discuss the Titanic and the Titan. I am a woman who is absolutely obsessed with the Titanic, along with billions of other people. I can’t even tell you why. I just am. I don’t know if it was ever said that, God couldn’t sink the ship. But in reality, God didn’t sink it. Man did! Not that God couldn’t have sunk it. But according to 2 Peter 3:9, He is “not wishing that any should perish.” God isn’t in the killing business, man and Satan are! Man and his greed to make a statement, ignoring the warning signs that were brought to their faces about ice fields and icebergs. The Titan seemed to have met a similar fate with ignoring the warnings of the submersible, not being safe. Can you call it greed or is a better term arrogance? As for the money paid for the trip, being rich isn’t a curse. It’s a true blessing and being an avid Titanic lover, being able to afford such an excursion, shouldn’t have been a death sentence. Be that as it may, the passengers knew the risks. But the risks weren’t for a shoddy piece of equipment. If the equipment didn’t “break the rules” like the CEO stated, perhaps the trip to the bottom of the North Atlantic, would have been a successful one. But instead, the entire world watched in horror, the deaths of five people who hopefully did not have to suffer. So there again, by man’s own design and doing, a catastrophic event took place. I cannot even comprehend it all as near the Titanic, now lay pieces of the Titan. It’s surreal and unreal at the same time. I do not know what the fate of any more under water explorations to the Titanic will be. But I do know people shouldn’t be making jokes about any of the above. People tragically died! Even third class passengers aboard the Titanic drowned. So, this cannot just be about money alone. It isn’t! It’s about making decisions that are based on truth. The man who backed out of the Titan trip is alive. Why? Because he didn’t trust the safety of it. He used wisdom and made a right decision that saved his life. Is there a lesson in all of this? Yes! It’s called due diligence. It is defined as, “a process that involves risk and compliance check, conducting an investigation, review, or audit to verify facts and information about a particular subject; a process or effort to collect and analyze information before making a decision. It is a process often used by investors to assess risk.”
We have to stop being so blind to facts! But the world in which we live in, now a days, is a microwaved, fast food, fast paced society and taking time to analyze things intelligently, is a chore or a bother. I don’t honestly know what my fascination with the Titanic actually is. But at what cost is our obsession to it? Was it worth it that a nineteen year old died, to please his father for Father’s Day? I think he is a hero because he was terrified to make the trip. But was that feeling of terror a warning sign that should have been heeded, like the other man who backed out? I would rather the world just left the Titanic to sleep and no longer be disturbed. But (this is just my opinion), perhaps they should let the lost souls and whatever is left of the Titan, sleep peacefully next to its predecessor, as a reminder of how fragile life is, and how our decisions truly affect our lives. There is nothing wrong with being rich. I wish people would stop saying that there is. The fault wasn’t in the ability to pay for the trips. It was in mismanagement that led to both disasters. AND at least for the Titan, not checking safety precautions and making right decisions beforehand. As for the Titanic, it was structurally sound and its passengers had no reason to believe it would actually sink. Why the need to speed her up? PRIDE!!!
Maybe the world should slow down just a bit. You know, like the tortuous and the hare. This was stated to me by my doctor at Penn Med because I am in such a hurry to get better, that I actually set myself back even further and make my health issues even worse. So, it will take even longer to get healthy again, if I do not listen to him. But I think I know what is best. HA! We have to start thinking about the food we eat, the things we drink, exercise, our bodies and treat them with kindness. We only get one and we must take care of it. This includes taking the necessary time to inspect what needs to be inspected. https://julianalove.com/2023/06/18/our-country-needs-us/. Okay! Here is where it is going to get political. Bridges shouldn’t be collapsing! Period. They should be inspected frequently, WITHOUT CUTTING ANY CORNERS to fix them! Trains shouldn’t be derailing, sending toxic chemicals into the air either. No one should be forced to have to buy an electric car that they cannot afford. We are a free country and we must maintain the right to live our lives (legally), how we see fit. If I want a gas stove, don’t tell me I can’t buy one. But what does Biden do, the first day in office? He stops the Keystone Pipeline, so America has to become energy dependent on other countries. He is NOT an American president. He is an Obama/Biden one and for what? What have they gained, and what will they gain for trying to destroy our beautiful country? Wealth and power! But for how long? Eventually their wicked house of cards will collapse. The question is how? I believe wholeheartedly, Trump will have his day at the White House once again, and he will see to it that all of the previous administration’s lawlessness will be stopped. This is why they hate him so much. This is why they are trying to severe him from politics. So that he cannot run again. They are literally trying to cut off his political air supply, so that it will be impossible for him to defeat Biden in the upcoming election. We see it! We know it! Thankfully, tables are turning, ever so slowly. But they are, and in favor of righteousness.
It is stated the CEO/builder, of the Titan, cut corners. It is defined as, “undertake something in what appears to be the easiest, quickest, or cheapest way, especially by omitting to do something important or ignoring rules.” This was also a contributing factor as to why five people died. Slow down; take a deep breath; take a walk; clear your head; go the extra mile; do your due diligence. Be careful of people who cut corners. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom.” How do you get it? The Bible also stated in James 1:5-6, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”

Waves are fun to play in. But wave after wave, and being tossed around in them are not. They can also be deadly if we are not careful! We must start using common sense, and thinking that cutting corners is okay. Think about life and how precious it is. I think I am, just a little more about now!
