As a Professional Skaters Association Figure Skating Coach as well as a trained Special Olympics coach, I have had extensive training in child abuse, recognizing sexual harassment and a whole lot of other classes that I have had to pass, in order to be permitted to work, especially with minors. In reading an article about a recent reinstatement of a transgender male who now identifies as a woman, I am shocked and disappointed in the Gettysburg Area School District’s Board of Directors, for allowing him to come back to work. He undressed in the girls locker room! Yet, the “Superintendent Perrin said the district does not have a policy pertaining to bathroom or locker room use.” To be a coach who works with minors, background checks and substantial training are usually a must. But the Superintendent Perrin said the district does not have a policy pertaining to bathroom or locker room use. What? So, why have the background checks? Why go through so much training to prevent what this coach did, seeing how there are no policies in this district that says he can’t?

Even coaches who are not transgender,

undressing in front of minors should not be allowed…period!

I would never ever do such a thing. Why? It is because I understand it is child abuse, lewd behavior and a whole slew of other atrocities. The above organizations that I am associated with, do not permit it. I cannot comprehend how a school system does. Oh! But this coach understood the concern of changing in the girls locker room, and won’t do that anymore. How very thoughtful. This is ludicrous! What about those girls that had to be subjected to this behavior? They need to sue the school board for causing emotional distress. Some ADULT MALE dressed as a woman, comes into the girls locker room, undresses in front of girls and we are supposed to turn a blind eye? Are you serious? No! There is no way a moral human being can do that. A coach undresses in front of minors? This is horrific!!! Yet, he was voted back in because you know, we are not supposed to discriminate against the LGBTQ plus community. It is not discrimination. It is protecting the innocent!

Now that we are on this subject, let’s discuss Gay Pride week here in Gettysburg. A man was wearing only chaps, (exposing his bare ass) on a leash that was attached to his girlfriend. She walked him around town like a dog in front of innocent families, just trying to eat their dinner outside. At the Town Square, a woman exposed her body parts for all to see. Yet, we are not to get upset. We are supposed to welcome this trashy behavior because if we don’t, we are racists and “White Supremacists” who discriminate. It’s a bunch of bullshit! To allow this transgender male who identifies as a woman, to be reinstated as a coach in this Commonwealth, is only asking for more trouble. The Board of Directors is putting these minors in harms way for sure and parents need to step up. But it seems as if many of the parents welcomed him back with open arms. I cannot wrap my head around it and my opinion simply does not matter because I do not have children in school here in this state. But if he cannot figure out what sex he is, how the hell is he going to with a sound mind, coach anybody from the point of view of character, dignity and respect? Being transgender is relevant because the potential for danger is real! But he has the backing of the Obama/Biden Administration, especially Dr. Levine who is trying to make Gender-Affirming-Care legal for minors. He has stated that girls don’t always feel like a girl on the inside, and should be allowed to change their gender and vice versa. So, this coach has the potential to influence these minors, in ways that are simply not good for their health and well being and that should be the focus. The focus should be on the fact that he is a male, who identifies as a woman – who undressed in front of girls in their own locker room. This male is still a male! It doesn’t matter how he dresses himself up, he is still a male! Just because he has said he will dress in private, why the hell are there no policies in place, preventing him from being a danger to these kids? I would like to know what type of training has he had. What kind of certifications and back ground checks does he have? The fact he even went into the girls locker to undress in the first place, tells me that he has not had to go through sexual harassment and child abuse training. Oh that’s right. There are no policies in place. So why bother? This is once again, bullshit!

A normal thinking human being with morals and some kind of godly principals,

would not even think of doing such a thing!

But this is part of the society that we have to live with. But where school kids are concerned, there needs to be policies in place to prevent this from ever happening again. Build a damn transgender bathroom and keep them out of the boys and girls bathrooms. Build a damn transgender locker room and keep them out of the boys and girls locker rooms. PA is a democratic run state, I am sure Governor Shapiro wouldn’t mind funding this or his good ole buddy Biden! Because you know, we must show the LGBTQ plus community love. What about those girls who were subjected to the abuse? Are we supposed to show them hate? Because that is pretty much what the Board of Directors is saying, that they care more about this coach, then those girls. Superintendent Perrin, I hope you start to work on policies that will stop any more children from being exposed to this type of absolute vile and foul behavior. It is called having ethics. Is there not a Code of Ethics, or a Code of Conduct that one must follow? If not, why not?

DOES NOT HAVING SPORTSMANSHIP MEAN ANYTHING?

How the hell are these minors supposed to reach their full potential in sports, being emotionally, mentally and physically distraught? This garbage affects and shapes their minds. It affects how they are treated, and how they treat others. If affects their own growth into adulthood. But it if that is warped, then what? They will not discover their own potential and how far and how wide they can go and grow! As a coach and an athlete myself, this is sickening and I hope it changes. Thank you to the two that voted against his reinstatement. I am sorry there were not more. But Superintendent, this is also on you! I am sure I will be writing more on this subject. Call me a homophobic. I really do not care! Call me a racist. I really do not care!
