If I drank alcohol, I would be drinking a beer right about now, to help me get through this article! So, here is my fake beer, you know, like a fake friend. At least that is what I have been called.

I don’t need the beer to drown my sorrows. I need it to help me type the absolute disgust I feel. But since, there again, I do not drink, I will just suck it up! You know, like some of you should!

First of all, why should I celebrate Pride Month? Go ahead explain it to me. Oh wait! Some of you already have on Facebook. You need to be acknowledged. You need to have attention. You need this. You need that! Hmmmm! The reality of the situation is simply this. You need validation. You need to feel accepted and approved, and why you call people like me a “bigot,” if I do not celebrate you for the entire month of June! You also claimed, “There really is no hate like Christian love.” Why? Is it because I stated that God made the rainbow? Is it because I refused to celebrate your sin? I can love you as a human being, but I do not have to partake in your lifestyle. So, why am I not allowed the same respect as you demand I give to you? Apparently, this thing only works one way and that is your way! Well, listen up. The world doesn’t work that way and unless you come to terms with that, you will forever find yourself needing validation that you simply will never get! If you need people to approve of you, or to give you attention, you cannot make it on your own. You cannot stand on your own two feet. You will never find that wholeness you are looking for. Why? It is because you are looking for it in all the wrong places. The ONLY place you will find self-worth, self-validation, self-respect, and self-wholeness, is in the Lord Jesus Christ! I don’t need to celebrate your sin. But I can still be a friend or a family member. In which both of those scenarios, I am. But if you do not celebrate my Christianity for an entire month, why should I celebrate you and your Pride month? I am not calling you names because you do not celebrate me. Why? It is because I am secure in the love of my God. I do not need your validation. I don’t need to put Gay flags up, carry Gay flags, wear any kind of Gay memorabilia either. I do not support your lifestyle and guess what? I don’t have to! I am allowed to make my own decisions. I wonder what the Mayor would have done if someone put a Confederate Battle Flag on this statue, in the town Square of Gettysburg. David Wills is the man responsible for planning the Soldiers National Cemetery after the Battle of Gettysburg. The cemetery is now named the Gettysburg National Cemetery. President Lincoln was in town to give his Gettysburg Address speech on November 19, 1863. Yet, here this statue is pictured with a Pride flag and skirt. I find this disgusting! Would the Mayor have approved of a Confederate Battle Flag draped around this sacred monument? Of course not! So, why is this acceptable? This town and its land are where men’s blood was shed and in some cases, even teenage boys. Jennie Wade, a young woman, just making bread for Union Soldiers was also killed. She was the only civilian to die on the three day battle.

Yet, their blood is trampled on by this type of desecration.

Gettysburg just hosted its Pride Fest. Thankfully, I drove the back roads and did not witness it. I won’t celebrate the LGBTQ plus community. Not now, not ever! This would be just as bad as me hanging out with protesters who carry signs of, 8647; Free, Free, Palestine; All Republicans Must Die etc. I have zero desire to fit in with those types of crowds. I hate what this world has become. I hate the fact that many reading this could be on a one way train to Hell, if they do not change their lifestyle and follow Jesus instead. Many want Chad Allen-Carr to the be the next Mayor of Gettysburg. He is pictured with both the protesters and at Pride Fest. Why do they want him as Mayor? It is because he represents “freedom.” But freedom without restraint, where there is no law and order, is destructive. The town is already sinking and the latest, they have defied Federal Immigration Laws. Gettysburg has trampled the blood of these soldiers and that of Jennie Wade long enough. But it would take an army of Republicans and Patriots to change it!!!

The double standard is sickening! But it will not change unless Republicans unite, get rid of their cliques and “fight, fight, fight!” I plan to run as a write-in for Mayor of Gettysburg in November. I do not want to stand before God and have Him ask me, “Why didn’t you at least try?” If you want to be Gay, be Gay. But don’t expect me to celebrate it. I can love you for who you are as a person, not what you are as a lifestyle!
