We can have rights and do nothing with them. Having a “right” doesn’t necessarily compel someone to act. But when added to, “it is their right” the next four words, “it is their duty,” that changes things. “Duty” is defined as, “a moral or legal obligation; a responsibility.” I have a right to run for Mayor of Gettysburg this is true. I don’t have to. But because I meet all the requirements, I am allowed to run. I have that right. But due to the conduct involving the current leadership, it becomes a moral obligation. It becomes my responsibility. To see this small historic town deteriorate by Democratic “woke” garbage, is both infuriating and vile. Businesses are hurting because tourism is down. Gettysburg is a sinking ship. She is listing more and more.

If something isn’t done to turn things around, Gettysburg will sink! I believe the reason some people do not vote is because they think there it no use. The impossibility overshadows their hope of a renewal. Someone posted, “I pray that Gettysburg will stay a Democratic town.” You must be praying to the little god, Satan, who is the god of this world. Because the God I serve – the one true and Holy God – is not happy with the way things are.

“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NLT)

I pray to God that I will always have a sound mind and know what the truth is. This is so I don’t allow it to become “distorted,” – “pulled or twisted out of shape; contorted; twisted out of a natural or normal shape, eccentrically weird or strange, or disturbingly abnormal.”

Some of the things written on the signs of these weekly Saturday protests are absolutely, “disturbingly abnormal.” They are also paraded in front of children. But sadly, some children are participants. The fact that these protests are ongoing indefinitely is an outrage. They are slowly killing off the magnetic force that draws people to this town. It is disturbing how many people are praying for Gettysburg to fall. It is no longer about the Civil War.

It is about Good vs. evil! Period!!! The hate, racism, violence and demonic displays are revolting. Trump Derangement Syndrome is shockingly real. But the Obama, Clinton, Biden and the rest of their regime may all soon end up in a federal prison – for real! What do you say to that? Oh! It’s Trump’s fault. He made them commit treason. Democratic Liberalism is crashing. I can only hope Gettysburg doesn’t go with it.

For the November election, I am a Republican, “write in” for Mayor. There is one other Republican running for a council seat. If we both win, it is small but also an extremely important turning point. It doesn’t mean that things will automatically be fixed. It just means it is the start for them to be. It may take several years to fix what the current leadership destroyed. But if more Republicans start to get on board, there is hope that Gettysburg will be saved.

As I was typing, “there is hope that Gettysburg will be saved,” the sun shone through my window. It even looks like a Cross. It gives me hope that our work is not in vain. There is hope for Gettysburg, yet!
