“It was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made and the lessons that continue to shape our future.” This was sent to me from someone who read one of your posts. It may have been a beautiful day on the battlefield, but not far from it at the Town Square, it’s anything but beautiful. It is downright evil. These protests are literally killing the economy. Business owners are losing customers due to the demonic things that are taking place within the town. All because the current leadership does nothing. They have proof (which several of us have given them) about the violations of the permits. I (personally) have emailed the Borough president and manager several times and dropped off complaints to no avail. I went to TV stations, attorney generals, Secret Service, several state and local reps (including you), and nothing is being done to stop this hell that has been unleased on our small historic town.
Out on the battlefield it might be quiet, but the war is raging in the Borough, and you are missing in action. I simply cannot understand it. I am aware you are at a “state” level. Then why did you help the local businesses during COVID? You fought extremely hard against the Wolf Administration. I know. I was there! But this, with these protests, is having the same effect and you simply do not care. There again, I cannot understand it. I know people have reached out to you. I know you sent them to Moon and Gable. But they are useless, and you know it. They are not going to stop until Trump is out of office, at least that is what is being said. Five months already we have had to deal with the threats and the filth! I have copies of the permits. I know exactly what violations are being committed and according to the Borough Secretary Sara Stull, no one called to report them to the Gettysburg Police Department. This is an outright LIE! I also have proof that several people did, including myself. I even made a video about it when an officer called me back and told me that “8647” is only a “restaurant” term!
Have you been hiding under a rock that you simply cannot see what is going on? Where are the reenactors that used to grace our town no matter the day or season? They were here all the time and on every street corner and sidewalk. They spent millions. Now look at the town. They are nowhere to be found. The DNC claims that the protesters go to the restaurants and shop at the stores. No, they don’t. I have seen them leave town right after. I am normally walking around taking notes! The town is losing money. This means single mothers like the one who owns a business in town, who is also a domestic violence survivor, must seek other ways to feed her child via food stamps. She didn’t need them before April. She has lost over 40% of her Saturday clientele due to the protests. Other businesses have had to cancel tours and/or issue refunds for the same reason. While some have closed early. Tourists do not want to come to Gettysburg anymore. This is even being talked about in other states. People who used to “can’t wait to get here,” believe me, are no longer interested and that is horrific. They are spending their money elsewhere. Many people have stated that they wanted to bring their kids to town to learn about the history. But when they have to pass through the Square and are confronted with, “F Trump,” “All Republicans Must Die,” “Nazi,” etc., getting chased by protesters, seeing the crosswalks blocked, they turn around and leave. Innocent people cannot even enjoy a meal outside at a restaurant. This is also due to those megaphones that are not supposed to be used. But that is okay right? Because far away in a distant time and place, it is beautiful on the battlefield. The Town Square has become a warzone, and I will say it again, “You are missing in action!”
I cannot wrap my head around it. What makes the COVID lockdowns that you poured your heart and soul into helping the locals, so different than what is happening to local businesses now? The same demonic Democratic leadership is doing the same thing, just in a different manner. They want to run the locals out of town. They want to remove the history that this town is so famous for. They want to have their way and only their way. They will hurt anyone they have to, just to get what they want. No wonder so many people who live here are not voting for you to be the next Governor of Pennsylvania! Gettysburg is once again at war, and you are seriously again, “missing in action.” For a United States Army Colonel that makes the truth of it even harder to bear. You are not missing because you are wounded or killed. You are missing because you choose to be. You choose to overlook what is going on. Why do you even have an office in town? I simply cannot understand you and I am not the only one! You even went to East Palestine, PA when that train derailed. But you can’t go up to the Town Square that is a block from your own Gettysburg office? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!! Is that not what you always say? There are over 1,400 registered Republican voters in the Borough of Gettysburg. Where are they? I will tell you. They are too afraid to speak out against the current leadership, for fear of retaliation. “I understand more than you know on retaliation for making a legitimate complaint.” It is sickening! Do you think your Gettysburg constituents don’t need you? I never thought that I would ever say this. But there is no way that I can vote for you now, and that makes me very sad. Gettysburg is broken! If it isn’t fixed, those “lessons that continue to shape our future,” will be lost forever! “Take in the history as much as you can. Because it’s not gonna be there much longer if no one steps up.” Enough said!
