I read a recent post about someone who is on the school board, fighting against transgender males in female locker rooms, bathrooms, and in sports. She also stated how she just wanted her life back. But she also knew what she needed to do. I was saying the same thing a few days ago myself. I just want to be with my family; hang out with friends; get back to work on my Summer Ray books and film project (www.thememoirofsummerray.com); do my crafts; sit at the beach; work on my health and physical fitness; do book signing tours; devote more time to figure skating; just stuff that I love to do. But the last six months with these Liberal vile protests, it’s been a living Hell. But I am sure that is also part of their purpose. They know the Liberal leadership does nothing. In fact, those who can clean it up, refuse. Why? It is because they too are Liberal and join them in their cause. This is precisely why I am running for mayor of this town as a Republican write-in. I don’t want to do it. The protests do not affect me personally because I do not own and business in town, nor do I work in town. But I see how they are trying to replace the history here with something else. Like, the history is the past. We need to move toward the future and let what happened in this historic town stay in past. Keep the history on the battlefield, but not in the town. Let’s replace historical memorabilia and remove all traces of the Battle of Gettysburg. The current Democratic mayor claims that she is a, “cheerleader for Gettysburg.” But yet, she also claimed to know that businesses are “disrupted” and she refuses to help them. So, how can she be a cheerleader for them, when she doesn’t include them on her team? A mayor should not be a one sided, I will only help you, if you are within my party affiliation. And they call us, “racists” – “characterized by or showing prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group.” This definition is talking about race etc. But it can also be construed as Democrats vs. Republicans.

It is possible another person stated the above quote. But it is still truth whoever said it. When good men (mankind) do nothing, they are no longer good. They become an accomplice to evil. President Trump, certainly did not need to become president. He has plenty of money; a beautiful wife and family. The man is seventy-nine years old and should be enjoying his retirement. But because he is such a good man, he chose to run for office, get elected and is now helping to make America great again. A small part of me hopes that I am not elected Mayor of Gettysburg, because I honestly do not want the job. But because of the evil that has been unleased in our small historic town, running for this position is something I know I needed to do. I also want my life back. But if being elected as the next mayor is the direction that God wants me to take, then so be it. I will take it very seriously and do all I can to help this town thrive once again. We have a “right” and a “duty” to vote in this country.

If we ignore that right and do nothing, we are letting evil triumph and we have become an accomplice to it. I don’t think it can be any plainer than that. It is 100% absolute truth. But the question is why. Why do people sit on the sidelines? I know for some here in Gettysburg it is fear. The Liberal leadership has stolen their voices and I hope to give it back to them. We must stop evil from their continued triumph!!!
