I am writing on behalf of a rather long post made by Dale Gentile. It was originally on the Borovent Gettysburg Facebook page. However, it was removed a few days later. Dale stated, “I will send a copy to the council but just in case it gets buried I have it here.” So, I am sure by the time you receive my response, you will have his. But due to the severity of his and his wife’s defamation, I was left with no choice but to respond. Please bear in mind this report will be in depth.

In the very first sentence, Dale wrote, “As a Republican, I am opposed to any person who endorses Ms. Juliana Love.” He has already set the tone for his letter. “Opposed” is defined as, “eager to prevent or put an end to.” Interesting! Perhaps he should have said something a little less hostile. But I will prove that hostility is his behavior pattern.

“In my experience…!” Dale and his wife Tiffany were starting to be a part of my film project – Summer Ray the Redemption. (www.thememoirsofsummerray.com) I specifically informed them that if they showed up high on any drug to a meeting, they would no longer be a part of the project. They showed up high (witnesses can attest) and were both removed from the project.

“Ms. Love has demonstrated a pattern of unpredictable and unprofessional behavior that raises significant concerns about her fitness for leadership.” He did not state what the pattern was; how it was unpredictable; what the unprofessional behavior was; and why it would raise significant concerns about my being fit for leadership.

“She has on multiple occasions, including making threats toward others, experiencing frequent emotional breakdowns, and struggling to manage her emotions in professional settings marked by fear and discomfort that stifles open communication.” He has provided no instances on which he can prove threats, frequent emotional breakdowns, how I struggle to manage my emotions in a professional setting that were marked by fear and discomfort. For me to say no drugs at meeting or you will be fired was not a threat. It was a professional promise. But please bear in mind, I have not physically seen the Gentiles in four years. I have spoken to them via text – but that was two years ago. He used the term, “frequent.” He is stating that he has seen me many times have emotional breakdowns. There again, I have not physically seen the Gentiles in four years. So, how can he make such a claim?

“Additionally, she has exhibited emotional instability and difficulty managing stress in professional settings, which has undermined effective collaboration and decision-making.” Once again, he has not given examples of my exhibiting “emotional instability.” But just to be consistent let me define it. “Emotional instability involves rapid, intense, and uncontrollable mood swings, often with difficulty returning to a calm state. Symptoms include impulsive behavior, volatile relationships, and disproportionate emotional reactions, which may indicate underlying conditions like borderline personality disorder (BPD), depression, or anxiety.” Neither Dale nor his wife Tiffany are Behavior Counselors and are not medically licensed to diagnose something of this nature. As previously stated, there are no examples of such behavior on my part. Same with his statement, “difficulty managing stress in a professional setting.” I do not know what professional setting he is referring to; the meeting – where he and his wife showed up high, or the two outdoor events where we did still photography. I have plenty of pictures where both he and his wife are smiling. As for “undermined effective collaboration and decision-making.” Neither Dale nor his wife had any collaborating or decision-making authority. They were extras and not part of the administrative team.

“These are not isolated incidents, but a consistent and damaging pattern that has undermined effective collaboration and sabotaged important decision-making within our community.” Up until last summer when I got involved with the protests, I stayed to myself. The reason is I was very sick with Long Haul Covid that I had been recovering from since November 2021. He claims that I undermined effective collaboration and sabotaged important decision-making within our community. This comment does not even make sense. First, the Gentiles live in Aspers, PA and are not part of the Gettysburg community. They have no voting rights here in the Borough. Second, there are still no examples of any such “sabotage – deliberately destroy, damage, or obstruct (something).”  I am not part of any decision-making within this community to undermine effective collaboration. I am, however, as you already know vehemently against the permit violations at the Town Square as any good citizen should be.

“Ms. Love frequently diverts her attention to self-promotion, focusing primarily on personal projects, such as promoting her books and movie; she consistently prioritizes her own interests and disregards others’ well-being. So you would have to think about what she would consider more important: the inability to act in Gettysburg’s best interest.”My Summer Ray book series and my pilot film project is based in Gettysburg and not just because I live here. Gettysburg is also part of the story. I would ask all of you if you have other interests, hobbies, or perhaps even another job outside of your leadership roles. Because according to them, you are not capable of making correct decisions about the town if you do. My attention to my books and film project has not stopped since February 09, 2009. It doesn’t mean that I am not capable of giving my time to the role as Mayor of Gettysburg if appointed. The Gentiles claim I consistently prioritize my own interests and disregard others. I would like to know since I have not physically seen them in four years, have only texted two years ago, how they can make such false accusations of my disregarding others. Do they know of the rent I have paid to help others? Do they know of the food I have given to the homeless? Do they know of the many errands I have done to help a single mother, or how because she was a single mother, I babysat her daughter for free? Do they know that I donated over 100 photos to the Gettysburg Film Commission to help bring interest to the town to help boost the economy? Do they know that both Jason and I while during one of the protests protected a young man who was honoring his Confederate grandfather? The reason we had to protect him was because the prior weekend he was verbally assaulted by a Liberal Democrat. Do you not find it appalling that Gettysburg, being the historical town that it is, one cannot portray at Confederate soldier without being called horrific names? I do! The Gentiles with their background (I will add later) have absolutely no moral ground to stand on.

“Instead of thinking about running for mayor, she needs to focus on her well-being. If you trust her, you will regret it.” First, the Gentiles say I am too focused on myself, then they tell me to focus on my well-being. Which is it? If you trust me, you will regret it. They made the mistake of not trusting the fact that I wouldn’t fire them from the project, because at that time we were friends. I can assure you I can pass any background check. I do not do drugs. I do not smoke cigarettes. I do not drink alcohol – EVER! I am not a liability! If appointed, I will do what is best for the community, tourists, and town, and not just those in my party affiliation as a mayor should also do.

“Given these ongoing concerns, I believe entrusting Ms. Love with a leadership role would jeopardize Gettysburg stability, reputation, and progress.” As you know, this has already happened with other leaders. I would do my best to help restore the light that Gettysburg once was without the need for judgement, name calling, etc. I think it is extremely low class and vile to act like that. We need to do better!

“It is essential that our town be led by someone who demonstrates professionalism, emotional maturity, and genuine commitment to the public service. Based on the evidence and my observations, Ms. Love does not embody these qualities.” There again, this is not their town. They claim I am not genuinely committed to public service. The other two about professionalism and emotional maturity, I already spoke on. This appointment is not something I need to do for myself. I do not need a title to make myself feel important. I do not like attention, and I certainly do not want to take time away from my own work. This isn’t about what I want. It is about what is best for the town I so deeply love and care about that I am willing to give my time and attention to helping where I can.

“At this critical juncture, Gettysburg needs a leader with unwavering integrity, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of every resident and this need could not be more urgent. Unfortunately, Ms. Love has repeatedly demonstrated that she is fundamentally unequipped to fulfill these requirements.” How have I repeatedly demonstrated that I am fundamentally unequipped? Let me just state right here, knowing the Gentiles, they are not that articulate to use those big words. They had help in writing this letter.

“Numerous credible individuals have reported that if Ms. Love take a personal dislike to someone, she does not merely ignore them; she goes out of her way to undermine not just that person but also actively seeks to harm them, fueling a climate of intimidation, division, hostility, and fear and anyone associated with them.” They do not name the “numerous credible individuals.” In my legal defamation case, I will demand it. How do I go out of my way to undermine said persons? How do I actively seek to harm them? How do I fuel a climate of intimidation, division, hostility, and fear to such individuals and anyone associated with them? Provide names and examples.

“Even more alarming are the reports of Ms. Love making racially insensitive remarks.” This statement is above and beyond defamation and slander, it is venomous. I have many Black friends. I went to an all-Black church, and I would never ever use such language. I will also demand the “alarming reports.”

“Or permitting such language in her presence, without apology, remorse, or corrective action.” This statement is in regard to my partner at the same meeting as previously mentioned. She did say a racist remark, in which she too was fired. The Gentiles also knew that. I do not tolerate any such abuse, bullying, racist slurs, or racism of any kind. I wouldn’t as Mayor of Gettysburg either.

“These incidents are not minor missteps; they are serious breaches of trust and respect required of any public servant. The result has been a community fractured by her actions, with many residents feeling alienated, unsafe, and unrepresented.” Wow! I single handedly fractured the community with my actions, with many residents feeling alienated, unsafe, and unrepresented. How did I ever manage that? Examples are needed as to how I fractured that community. How residents are feeling alienated, unsafe, and unrepresented. How can I represent someone without a title?

“Gettysburg deserves a mayor who can unite the community and foster mutual respect, not one whose conduct further divides it.” Precisely why I am the best person for the job!

“A review of her actions reveals a consistent pattern of harassment.” Please see the following and notice my name is not on these charges of “HARASSMENT – SUBJECT OTHER TO PHYSICAL CONTACT.” I cannot add the one with Dale’s name as it contains other serious offenses including, but not limited to, operation of a business without a license. Please note the date of latest charges filed: December 02, 2025!

“Moreover, she frequently makes false accusations and spreads damaging lies, which can have severe consequences for one’s reputation. Her failure to acknowledge the truth results in the continued dissemination of false information.” The Gentiles are talking solely about themselves in these comments as that is what they have done to me. They do not give examples of false accusations, nor of the damaging lies.

I filed a formal complaint against Socks last year. He claimed to have coached me and that I did not take his advice. However, if he has never met me (still) how can he, an Adams County elected official, make such a claim that what the Gentiles wrote was true? I find it disgusting and detrimental to any society that lacks moral respect, and that of ethical behavior.

Please bear in mind, I do not know David, Angie, or John. If I met John, I do not remember. This is 100% election interference. This is 100% Defamation of Character on the part of the Gentiles, which will be handled legally. This brings me to my next point.

You, Matt Moon, stated the following: “I hope you will join me this fall in voting for Chad-Alan Carr for Mayor.” You sited reasons why not to vote for Rita. With an all-Democratic leadership, including (it is my understanding) the Human Relations Committee, it is already assumed that the council will vote in and appoint Rita. Equal consideration must be given to each applicant regardless of their political affiliation! Discrimination is also a very serious issue. Is that not why the HRC was created in the first place?
