GETTYSBURG PRIDE – PART 2

I get several messages about running for Mayor of Gettysburg, so that I can “do away” with Pride fest. For starters, that isn’t going to happen. Even if I run and win the Mayoral race, I still will not “do away” with it. Even if I would have the authority to do so, I would not. I would have to stop Bike week, Reenactors Appreciation weekend and many other festivals this town allows. To target Pride fest and only that, is discrimination. My Christianity is then questioned because I welcomed Gettysburg Pride. I am sorry, but Jesus sat with tax collectors and sinners. You might not be of the LBGTQ community, but you just sin in different ways! So, if I sit with you and not with the LGBTQ community – I am there, once again, being discriminatory.

However, I have not seen some of the perversion in other festivals that others have witnessed, and I after seeing this video. PLEASE NOTE: IT DOES SHOW NUDITY! https://www.facebook.com/100063646547537/posts/768435358276802/?vh=e&extid=MSG-UNK-UNK-UNK-AN_GK0T-GK1C

Imagine sitting outside at the Farnsworth House, and you and your family are eating a great meal (because their food is awesome), and all the sudden you see this walk by. If I were a tourist, I wouldn’t want to come back, as I have also read from some of the comments. This is not what this town is all about. But it is what this town will eventually become, if we do not take a stand against it. If you read my blog from yesterday, https://julianalove.com/2023/06/04/my-response-to-gettysburg-pride-at-gettysburg/, clearly this is a violation. But there were no Gettysburg Police Department, no Mayor Frealing, and no Borough Council to put a stop to it.

PENNSYLVANIA CONSOLIDATED STATUES

1123.1. – Mayor’s powers concerning police:

(a) General rule – The mayor shall have full charge and control of the chief of police and the police force.

10A07. Duties of Mayor

(1) To preserve order in the borough, to enforce the ordinances and regulations, to REMOVE nuisances

If you want to be of the the LGBTQ community. It is your business. When you cross a line of indecency – especially in front of minors, it becomes our business, and it should be the business of law enforcement. But this is true of any festival or event here in Gettysburg. But as I stated yesterday, what if we were to drape a Confederate flag over the Thaddeus Stevens statue that Mayor Frealing help to dedicate? Would the consequences be the same as those who added the Pride memorabilia over the Wills and Lincoln statues at the Square? Of course not! But unless Republicans or even Independents run for these offices and win, things cannot change. Liberalism will continue to thrive. There again, I am not against the LQBTQ community. I am against perversion. On September 14, 2020, I wrote this: https://julianalove.com/2020/09/14/a-peaceful-protest/. Gettysburg was under attack by foul mouth Liberals and the mayor, once again, did nothing. With some elected officials – well it happens all the time. They do what is best for their party and not the community as a whole. So the question remains – will I run for mayor at the next election? I will, if my health allows for it. I am not a John Fetterman, who has no business being in office. He needs to deal with this health issues first. But to be elected to an office that I know I cannot give a full commitment to, would be an absolute insult to those who voted for me, and to this small historical town that I love so much. I am striving to get better, to where I can add my name to the lists of other Republicans who will run. But only time will tell. In the meantime – we need to address and make formal complaints about what happened during Pride fest to the mayor, Borough Council and even Senator Mastriano’s office. If you have had enough of the above, do something about it. If you are able; run for office, sit in on the council meetings, do something constructive to make your voice and your opposition and opinions heard. Just do it within the boundaries of legalities. Don’t resort to violence or screaming, like some of those wacked out Liberals. Like that helps how?

  1. That video is unacceptable. It is pathetic what this festival did to the reputation of a sacred town. Children had to see this and what a corruption to their developing brains. I know people that won’t visit due to the behavior.

  2. Honestly, I think it’s the plan, so they can have their way. They want to remove the history and make this town like Vegas. It’s why nothing was done by the mayor, council or GPD!
